Courage
July 11, 2005 – 11:41 amI read somewhere long ago that courage is not the absence of fear, but feeling the fear and doing the thing we are afraid of anyway. By this definition, Denise is a true super hero. Confronting shame represents a fundamental turning point in the lives of transsexual people.
Plus I have a soft spot in my heart for transsexual women, since I think they have a much tougher time of it than transsexual men.
