Homofactus Press proudly announces the upcoming publication of Eli Clare’s Telling the Marrow: Words in Motion.

This collection of poems spans a 15 year period and is organized not as a memoir but as an exploration of how bodies carry and translate histories and identities. The poems address a range of themes about embodiment: disability, race, gender transition, and abuse, among others. I’m threading them together in such a way to let all the stories sit side-by-side in all their contradiction, tension, and repetition, rather than working to revise them into any single coherent story.
